Agent Routines
Scheduled agents in one card — each routine reads as a sentence with its schedule, a live countdown, what it reads and where it posts, and opens in place to its latest report and schedule.
The card is a composition, so it follows your theme preset. Copy the source from the Code tab and replace the sample routines with your own; runs here are simulated and nothing is posted.
What it's made of
| Part | Component |
|---|---|
| Card shell | Card, filled on a grouped page |
| Each routine | Collapsible — one open at a time |
| Schedule on and off | Switch |
| Run now and Stop | Button, an icon-only Icon Button in narrow cards |
| Run history | 14 ticks, each with a Tooltip |
| Run progress | Progress under the row |
| Schedule editor | Segmented Control and Time Picker |
| Latest report | The template's own renderer, revealing the report one block at a time |
| New routine | Field, with the parsed schedule, sources and destination as Popover buttons that edit them |
Reading a row
Each row has three lines. The first is the routine's name, Run now and its schedule switch. The second is the schedule in plain words with a countdown to the next run, and the last run on the right. The third shows what the routine reads and where it posts, beside its last 14 runs.
A routine that is switched off says Paused instead of a countdown. A running routine replaces its schedule with the current step and fills a thin line under the row; when it finishes, a new tick joins the history.
New routine
Type a sentence and it is read into three parts: when the routine runs, what it reads and where it posts. Anything the sentence leaves out shows as a dashed button to fill in, and every part opens to edit it. Add routine stays disabled until all three are set. Use the example fills in a sentence to start from.
Motion
Every movement explains a change, and none plays when the card first appears.
- A row opens on the panel curve; its content fades and rises into place with the height, and leaves the same way.
- When a run finishes, the run history moves one slot left and the new run fades in at the end.
- A changing label — the running step, the schedule, the last run — fades in from just below.
- The finished report streams into the open row.
With reduced motion, rows open at once, the history updates in place and the report appears whole.
Keyboard and screen readers
- Each routine's name is a button that opens and closes the row. Up and Down arrows, Home and End move between routines.
- The run history is one tab stop. Left and Right arrows, Home and End move between runs, and each run's result, time, duration and summary is in its tooltip.
- The source and destination marks are hidden from screen readers and replaced by one sentence per row: what it reads, where it posts and which model runs it.
- Status is never colour alone: the last run pairs an icon with its time, and each tick has a full text label.
- Run starts, results, stops, schedule changes and new routines are announced once in a polite status region.
In a narrow card
Below 32rem of card width the last run leaves the second line; it stays in the run history and in the open row. In a very narrow card Run now becomes an icon button with the same name, and Run now is always visible on touch, where there is no hover to reveal it.
